War Memorials

The Park contains a number of memorials to the victims of past wars.
The most visible is the Sculpture by Kennington, to commerorate the 24th London Division.
There is a plaque to the 5397 Australian Aircrew lost in action during the second world war.
And another plaque dedicated to the ANZAC forces in the Gallipoli Campaign during 1915.
Although not strictly a memorial the London Peace Pagoda reminds us of past events.
Bandstand Music
On 17th July, Wandsworth Council has arranged a day of music at the Bandstand. the day runs from 1:30 to 10:45.

Albert Bridge Closing
On Monday 15th February the Kensington and Chelsea Council are closing Albert Bridge to motor traffic for major refurbishment. The work is expected to take 18 months, but Park users will still be able to walk across. more...
